Golden Girls React To Allegations Of Affair With Tuface

Which of the Golden Girls is Tuface's Girl?

The golden girls are both emerging musicians and one of them is deeply in love with Tuface. At a recent function where celebrity musicians hung out, one of this twin was spotted sitting with the african queen crooner and getting all lovey dovey until babymama Annie Macualay appeared and excused Tuface out of the 'situation'

Tracy and Treasure's reaction to the allegations. They spoke with High Society Magazine.

There is a rumour that either Tracy or Treasure is dating Tuface Idibia, is this true?
Tracy: How I wish it was true. We admire him. He is a cute guys. He already has too many chocolomondos, if not, these Golden Girls would have gone for him.
Treasure: If the rumour that one of us is dating Tuface is true, then know that my sister and I will fight over a guy for the first time. He will be the first guy that both of us will ever like, and we will drag him. I wish it were true.

Who is closest to him?
Tracy: I wish it was me
Treasure: I wish I was the one closest to him. Tracy is saying the same thing, but we don't want to be baby mamas.
Tracy: The guy is cool, talented and loaded. All his baby mamas are cute babes, if we date him, both of us will just join the clique now.

If you had an opportunity to have a baby for Tuface, would you?
Tracy: I wish he was the one asking this question, then I would know what to do.
Treasure: Tracy, I think that is even a wrong question. The question should be; if he asks you to be his African princess, will you? Not a baby mama, the answer is no!
Tracy: OK, the answer is no. Because if you are his baby mama, the love will not be coming from his heart, he will be there because of the baby.

See them answering the questions so seriously...lol.

77-Year-Old Man Impregnates 14-Year-Old Girl

Amos Asante, a 77-year-old retired clerk, has been dragged to an Accra Circuit Court after he was accused of defiling a 14-year-old girl with whom he has fathered a baby boy...
The accused looked astounded as the case was called in a court presided over by Mrs. Georgina Mensah-Datsa, but he quickly pleaded not guilty to the offence of defiling a girl below 16 years.
The judge has, on the submission of George Assamaney, counsel for the old man, ordered a DNA test to ascertain whether or not the retired clerk indeed fathered the child.
Mr. Assamaney said his client was surprised at the allegation levelled against him and would like a DNA test to be conducted before the trial resumed.
Mrs. Datsa, however, declined defence counsel’s application for bail and had the accused person remanded in police custody while the case was adjourned.
Presenting the facts of the case, the prosecuting officer, ASP Sarah Ekua Acquah, told the court that the complainant, Ofori Badu, is the father of the victim and a trader who lives at Kasoa, while the 14-year-old victim currently lives with her grandmother at Asiakwa in the Eastern Region.
She said the accused person is a retired clerk and lives at Mallam, adding that the wife of the accused person is related to the complainant.
According to her, the 14-year-old stayed with the accused person and his family for two-and- a-half years.
The prosecutor noted that in 2010, the accused person had sexual intercourse with the victim and warned her not to tell anybody. The warning scared her and so she kept the matter to herself.
Furthermore, she said the victim later got pregnant and when questioned, she mentioned the name of the retired clerk as the one who impregnated her.
In addition, she noted that the victim gave birth to a baby boy on July 12, 2011 and a report was subsequently made to the police at Odorkor. The accused was consequently arrested and the case transferred to the Police Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, Greater Accra Region, and the accused arraigned after police investigations.
What is this world turning  to?

Abamieda master, Fela, Preacher And Priest

By Majemite Jaboro

On October 15 2011, the Chief Priest Fela Anukulapo Kuti would have been 73 years old, if he had been alive. However, Last August I visited the Kalakuta Republic, the famous white two-storey building on Gbemisola Street (Ikeja), which was home to Fela and his family (and family by association), and was shocked by the state and appearance of the building.

The building looked like it was haunted, but it still bore signs of a glorious past. There was, of course, the pyramidal tomb where the Afrobeat creator lays buried after his death in 1997, fortunately well maintained. Gone was the poster of Fela’s album cover for Teacher Do Not Teach Me Nonsense, which used to be a permanent feature of the front wall of the building (beside the first floor balcony). It bothers me why this building should not already be a Museum of African, Political and Spiritual Thought, attracting tourists from all over the globe.

While staring at the building once again, my mind raced back to the time when I used to be part of the daily goings-on within the premises. On Saturday mornings, after séances with the Kalakuta Medium, Fela would give me money to buy schnapps, kola nut, palm wine, palm oil and salt. Later in the day, I would head to the Shrine (Pepple Street), a brisk 30 minute walk through the middle class Gbemisola Street, clean the vicinity as well as the sacred objects. On the right side of the white painted altar was an oil portrait of Fela’s mother Funmilayo, a wrapped bust of a Bini king and a clay pot containing water from the Atlantic Ocean.

The Shrine décor
In the centre of the altar are the porcelain plates that would contain the mixture of palm oil and salt, including the honey we would bring from Kalakuta when coming with Fela for the evening’s performances. On a high pedestal were four small calabashes: one big calabash for palm wine and the other for schnapps; on the left side sits another clay pot containing fresh water and an oil portrait of Kwame Nkrumah, which was painted by Lemmy Ghariokwu. I loved this portrait for the fact that it shows Nkrumah standing in a fire and giving the ‘Black Power’ salute, and he holds a book with the words ‘Nkrumah Lives’ printed on it.

Also on the left side of the altar is an Asante stool (painted white), and which Fela said contained the souls of our African ancestors. On the multi-coloured wall, the names of African gods and goddesses were written with cowries. There were two clay pots on the two sides of the altar which we use for bonfires. The shrine was also decorated with coloured bulbs which were left on 24 hours a day, except when there was power failure.

By 10 p.m. I would have finished my work on the shrine and the shrine was ready for ‘Comprehensive Show’, as Fela called his Saturday nightly shows. I would have rolled cotton wool and put them in the clay pots which would contain kerosene and palm oil (for the bonfire). Before leaving for Kalakuta l would meet Anigboro, Charles Taylor and Yao. (The first two guys were bodyguards for the shrine, while Yao was the shrine supervisor on Saturday, responsible for preparing Fela’s giant reefer called the ‘Comprehensive Jumbo’.)

Usually, we were back in Kalakuta by 11 p.m. After a short rest and a bath we were ready for the show. On Saturdays Fela would tell us the four dancers who would dance when he playedhis final number. Since it was a ‘Comprehensive Show’, both the Egypt 80 musicians and the Afrika 70 dancers would wear their costumes, led by Najite and Sewaa. At about 1.30 a.m. we would be in Fela’s room cracking jokes and watching TV. By 2.30 a.m. we would be in the shrine.

Divine Intervention
After Fela had finished singing one number, there would be a short break for divination. The senior dancers would change into their skimpy outfits; Fela would remove his shirt and paint his face with native chalk, which was also part of the make-up kit of the Egypt 80 singers and dancers.

Convenant University Denies Muslim Students Admission

Bishop David Oyedepo

Against their teachings and their doctrine that we should not discriminate against one another as it is against the bible which wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves, it can be surprising sometimes when those we expect to lead when it comes to issues relating to love and tolerance are found wanting on the same issue.
Bishop David Eniola Oyedepo is a man who many see as an embodiment of tolerance as his teachings prove so. Apart from his normal teaching which is based on Faith, he had at different occasions talked extensively on tolerance. It is therefore appalling that a gross act of intolerance will happen in a place where he’s the head.
It happened at his church-owned university,CovenantUniversity, during the current admission process. One Abdul-Gafar Ayomide Salami is doing all his best to secure admission into the institution for the next academic session. During the last JAMB examination where he scored 295, based on his performance he was invited for the post- JAMB exam which was conducted by the university authority. He again performed excellently, with average score of 65/80. His West African Senior School Certificate Examination stated that he passed with good grades in the following subjects as listed; Economics – B3, Geography – A1, English Language – B3, Further Math – A1, Mathematics – A1, Agric Science – B3, Biology – B3, Chemistry – B2, Physics – B2,
While they were waiting for the school authority, the family of Gafar was so sure that with his results, no matter what he was going to secure admission.
But the family got a rude shock when they were told that the school management had decided not to admit Muslim students for the coming academic session. According to the father of the young boy, who spoke to us: “Initially I thought it was kind of April Fool joke and I decided to send my wife to go and find out what exactly was going. But to to our consternation the admissions officer simply confirmed that they were not admitting any Muslim student this year.”
He said further that he couldn’t believe what he was hearing and he felt that he was in some kind of trance or that he was in another country because he had never in his entire life heard something like that, which is against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has vowed to follow the case to a logical conclusion even if it means going to the court. “It is not about my child alone, but so that the discrimination and bigotry will  not continue in future,” he affirmed.
The issue is casting a shadow on the many awards the university may have won in the past as many are condemning the management of the school for getting themselves involved in such condemnable act. There was a time in the past that a member of the church who lost a child  in one of the schools owned by church was furious over the nonchalant attitude of the school management which led to the death of the child.
It is expected that the Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor will act fast on this current issue as it is not only a dent on the image of the school but also a question of truthfulness on the school to Christianity, which the school professes based on its affiliation with the Living Faith Tabernacle, or Winners’ Chapel, as the Oyedepo-led church is also known.
