An ace singer/actor, Onyeka Onwenu has said that she would want a situation where the opinions of judges will be considered in the season 3 of Glo Naija Sings reality show.
The veteran actor who was one of the judges alongside Sammy Okposo during one of the recordings of the show and witnessed the first eviction of the show said this will ensure that the best performers emerged winners.
It will be recalled that in Glo Naija Sings, only the audience can decide who stays in the reality show through their votes. Though, there are judges but the opinions of the judges do not carry any weight unlike other reality shows across the country and beyond.
In some cases, it is fifty-fifty. That is, judges save some contestants while the audience saves some others. Some critics believed that giving the audience 100 per cent right to determine who goes or who stays will not ensure the best, as most of the viewers will vote out of sentiment and favoritism.
This is why Onyeka Onwenu is advocating that the opinions of judges, who are professionals in their own right, to carry some influence.

Onwenu however, expressed satisfaction over the quality of the show. “the show is great and exciting. The contestants are getting better, they are learning very fast and if they continue like this, by the end of this show, we won’t recognise them again.”
…Evicted Vickiola tips Vicky, Xtian to win
Victoria Johnny aka Vickiola, has been evicted. She is the first person be evicted in the third edition of tension-soaked reality show; Glo Naija Sings on Sunday.
The ten constants gave in their best performances to impress the audience and win their votes. But as expected, somebody must go. Vickiola did not secure enough votes to see her through to the next level. She became the first to exit the competition.
Though she is out of the competition, Vickiola however, tipped two of her former housemates- Christy and Christian as standing better chances of winning the coveted prize by the end of the show. This, she said is based on the quality of their performances so far.
On whether the process of voting affected her in anyway, she said; “the voting process makes it more fun. It makes it the best”. Vickiola told journalists that she has learnt a lot of lessons and will use them in her future endeavours.
In an emotion-laden voice, Vickiola thanked Glo and Mnet for providing her with the opportunity to harness her talents.
